Made for riding the SLRR, a guide-based Linden Lab railroad system.

Our pod has a no-nonsense design, with creative use of normal prims and 3d-party mesh.
It is intended to be a starting point for modifying things to one’s preferences.

The engine script is an own design fork of the VRC Hobo Train Opensource V2.6.0, released in 2010. This good ol’ open source train is available at Tuliptree Station.

We have improved, hacked and modernized it, keeping functionality open and adjustable.
See the technical guide for in-depth information on the possibilities.
The complete pod engine as of version 1.3.7 is very stable. We have developed Lifesaver and Crewsaver solutions, and improved the integration with AVsit 2.2.

The animations are controlled by AVsit. This widely used open source solution can be easily extended and modified to your wishes.

Anyone can operate the Pod..!
Touch and hold the console for 3 seconds to enable Public mode. Most operating functions then become available to anyone who operates the pod.

Additionally, Seat Disabler Light can disable the option to sit, for others than those currently on the Pod. To toggle the security, simply type “/3s” in chat.

We use our own (tweaked) RealSpeed algorithm to calculate the traveling speed
and propulsion parameters.

The optional mouselook display mode informs about status and speed, when using the Pod in first person view. The head lamp (with three modes) lights the track at night, for best result, activate “Advanced Lighting Model”

This engine version has had a major re-design and improvement of LifeSaver, which on top has been extended with CrewSaver.

The effort for this was aimed at actually letting our products do what we promised these already did. (Under good circumstances the pods would, but in Second Life the environment is unpredictable. ^^)

We are happy we have achieved this quite well. Though we cannot guarantee perfection, the pod’s performance at border and corner passing has now been significantly improved.
For this we used extensive debugging verbose systems and countless test miles to investigate the nature of the errors.

This pod will do it’s best to keep the folks on board!

The lamps have three modes
Crew cameras are set to a default on startup
Cargo unloading has particle effects
The horn sound is more pronounced train-like
AVsit 2.2 operates more stable and the occasional position shuffling has been solved
Dialog translation (an optional feature in 1.3.6) has been removed in favor for script memory
The fridge is updated
A few potential vulnerabilities have been patched
Poxie’s Add-on 1.1 features have been fully implemented
Texture glitches and seams have had loving attention
